Program Description

The Graduate Certificate in Accounting focuses on the core competencies in accounting, including financial accounting, managerial accounting, taxation, auditing, and accounting information systems. This program is a preparation program for the CPA Professional Education Program (CPA PEP), to become a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA).

Objectifs d'apprentissage


Au terme du programme, les participant.e.s sauront :

  • appliquer les pratiques courantes de comptabilitĂ© financière;
  • comprendre les processus de prĂ©paration de rapports financiers;
  • s’acquitter des tâches et responsabilitĂ©s d’un.e vĂ©rificateur.rice;
  • appliquer les principes de base des lois fiscales;
  • calculer les rĂ©sultats comptables, les fonds de roulement et les mouvements de fonds;
  • effectuer la comptabilitĂ© analytique, notamment dĂ©terminer les relations coĂ»t-volume-profit;
  • prendre des dĂ©cisions liĂ©es aux activitĂ©s opĂ©rationnelles, comme les investissements et le financement;
  • appliquer les principes fondamentaux de financement d’entreprise, dont la budgĂ©tisation des immobilisations, la maximisation de la valeur sĂ»re, le risque et le rendement.

Mode d’enseignement


Les cours se donnent en personne, une fois par semaine pendant 13 semaines, généralement de 18 h à 21 h. Certains cours peuvent se donner le samedi en journée. Des cours sont disponibles à toutes les sessions (automne, hiver, printemps et été).


Conditions d'admission
  1. Baccalauréat dans n’importe quel domaine, avec une moyenne pondérée cumulative (MPC) d’au moins 3,0/4,0 ou 3,2/4,0 dans les deux dernières années d’études à plein temps.
  2. Les apprenant.e.s dont la MPC est inférieure aux exigences doivent accompagner leur demande des documents suivants :

    a) Lettre de présentation d’une ou deux pages à interligne simple, en anglais ou en français, faisant état de :
    • leurs connaissances pertinentes;
    • leur intĂ©rĂŞt pour le domaine d’études et leurs raisons de choisir le programme;
    • leurs plans pour l’application de la formation Ă  une carrière actuelle ou future;
    • leur expĂ©rience professionnelle et sa pertinence, le cas Ă©chĂ©ant;
    • leurs prix reçus et autres contributions;
    • toute autre information pertinente.


    b) Curriculum Vitae.

    c) Deux lettres de recommandation, signées et rédigées sur du papier à en-tête, dont au moins une d’un employeur actuel ou passé.

    d) Résultats au GMAT ou au GRE (facultatif).
