However, as climate change ramps up,Ìýthe agricultural sector faces increasing pressure to adopt cleaner and more sustainable solutions.

Shifting to a circular bioeconomy, including adopting bio-based agricultural inputs such as fertilizers, is essential. As leader of a research group addressing the technical challenges associated with this transition through nanotechnology and biotechnology, Professor George makes the case for stronger government and industry support programs to pave the way for widespread adoption of sustainable and resilient agricultural practices.
