CSCI 020 Foundations in General Chemistry 1 (3 credits)

Overview

CSCI : The study of matter and energy and how they interact. A strong emphasis is placed on moles (and using them) and unit analysis (with unit conversion); how to read a periodic table; charge; the difference between ionic and covalent in bonding; chemical reactions.

Terms: This course is not scheduled for the 2024-2025 academic year.

  • Restriction: Not open to students who have taken CSCI 101.
