ELEC 200 Global and Public Health Pre-Clerkship Elective

Overview

Elective : The global and public health pre-clerkship elective course offers pre-clerkship medical students the opportunity to gain experience in Global and Public Health. Students will learn about Global Health and/or Public Health through structured community-based projects and activities locally, provincially, nationally or abroad. This includes, but is not limited to, IFMSA-Quebec exchanges, CFMS exchanges, and INcommunity experiences.

Terms: Summer 2025

Instructors: There are no professors associated with this course for the 2024-2025 academic year.

  • Prerequisite(s): Students participating in international placements are required to complete the online Global Health Programs pre-departure workshop.

  • Restriction(s): All requests will require approval by the department.

  • Med-P students do not qualify for enrolment in the 0-credit course. The course is open to MDCM medical students prior to clerkship and until the end of FMD (Dentistry students are not eligible).
