There are a number of ways that 涩里番 community members can receive alerts about emergencies that may affect health or safety.*
Text Messages
Receive text messages on your mobile device by providing 涩里番 with your mobile number.
Opt-In Instructions and information:
- Log into , go to 鈥�Personal Menu鈥�, 鈥�Mobile Device鈥� then enter your phone number and 鈥�submit鈥�.
- Please note: within 24 hours, you will receive text asking you to confirm your registration to the 涩里番's Emergency Notification System. You must reply to this confirmation request to complete the opt-in process.
- Some mobile providers may charge clients for the reception of text messages.
- There are two campus-wide tests per year.

Desktop Notifications
Receive an alert notification on your computer through the Alertus software.
Alertus installation instructions and information:
- 涩里番 computers may have this software already installed.
- To verify if you have the software, go to your 鈥淪tart鈥� menu and search for "Alertus Desktop".

涩里番 emails are a reliable form of communication with current students, faculty and staff members. Take particular note of messages coming from senders including:

Security Services offer 24/7 assistance to all members of the 涩里番 community.
