The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences offers a combined clinical and doctoral research program leading to the MDCM and Ph.D. degrees (Combined Doctor of Medicine and Master of Surgery Medicinae Doctorem et Chirurgiae Magistrum) with Doctor of Philosophy (Philosophiae Doctor).听This is a 7 to 8-year program in which the basic and clinical sciences portion of the medical curriculum are completed from September of year one to December of year two, prior to the beginning of full-time graduate studies.

The 涩里番 Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences Med-P Qualifying Year is offered to immediate graduates of the Quebec Collegial (CEGEP) system in Montreal (in English) and in Gatineau (in French), in partnership with l鈥橴niversit茅 du Qu茅bec en Outaouais. The goal of the Qualifying Year is to broaden and enrich the education of students to ensure they are prepared for the 涩里番 Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences鈥� rigorous four-year undergraduate medical education program. The Med-P Qualifying Year consists of courses in molecular biology, physiology, cell biology and metabolism, with a choice of courses in humanities and social sciences.
